Bartender

Hi my name is Lauren, I’ve been working with the Old Quarter Group for 3+ years.

I like to think I excel as a bartender, I love helping our customers and I’ve made it my mission to know every meal on all 3 food menu’s Breakfast, Lunch and A La Carte so that their choice is an informed one.

I also love working as part of a team, and I especially love training new staff. I was given the freedom to implement a ‘buddy system’ for new recruits. The new recruit gets to ‘shadow’ the experienced bartender and see first hand what the job entails and how it is done correctly, they can ask questions and have someone to turn to if challenges arise.

And when I wanted to enhance my knowledge of the industry, The Old Quarter Group had no hesitation in supporting me both financially (by paying for my course) and with flexible working hours so I could undertake a bar management course.
